Notice the pattern
Think about a recreational sport you play and a skill you regularly avoid. It might be a backhand or another shot your coach has already introduced. Name the skill without turning it into a verdict about your ability.
Give it a practice setting
Ask your coach for a drill suited to that skill instead of waiting for it to appear in a close match. Choose one focus for the practice. This is an invitation to plan instruction, not a technical lesson or a demand to force an unfamiliar movement.
Look for a useful observation
At the end, describe what was easier to understand and what still needs explanation. A practice session does not have to produce a perfect shot to give you a useful next question. Let matches and learning sessions have different jobs.
